CAMPER APPLICATION PROCESS

     (this does not apply to counselor positions)

 

1. Applications become available on March 1st.

2. Applications can be downloaded from this site or picked up at any Delaware State Police Troop in Delaware.

3. Fill out application legibly and completely.

4. Obtain a physical from your doctor or licensed physician. A physical that was obtained during the current school year will be accepted unless a major medical issue has occurred. Camp Barnes would prefer that the physical form attached to the application be used but doctors form is acceptable. Please be sure that the doctor's office stamps either physical form with his name or office name. A physical form submitted without the doctors name or office name may be rejected.

5. Attend Orientation Meetings at specified time and location. Orientation meetings are held in all three counties. Times and locations are different in all of the counties. Please see application for times and locations.

6. Applications will only be accepted at the Orientation Meetings. Applications left at any Delaware State Police Troop without prior approval from the camp director will be rejected.

7. Once applications have been submitted camp director will start the selection process. Not all applicants are accepted!

8. Once applicants are accepted an acceptance letter will be mailed to the camper. Acceptance letters will be mailed out by May 31st. Those who were not accepted will not be sent a letter. There are limited spots available and all campers who apply are not accepted.
